A Walk to Remember MKAL

A Walk to Remember is a beautiful rectangular shaped shawl. The pattern is worked on the both the wrong and right sides. Pattern includes charts and written directions. If you would like to add beads to your shawl, I include instructions on where to place the beads. 

Suggested yarn: Fingering or Heavy Fingering Weight 

Yardage needed for size 1 (2): 770 (1150) yds / 700 (1050) m. 

 

Finished Sizes (Relaxed):  

Length: 67 (79)" / 170 (200) cm 

Width: 18 (21)" / 45 (54) cm 

Needle:  

Size 5 US / 3.75 mm needle. 

Size 10 US / 6.00 mm needle (only for CO and BO). 

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge. 

Notions: Tapestry needle, blocking pins, 0.50 - 0.75 mm steel crochet hook for beads (optional), stitch markers (2 pcs)

Beads (Optional): 680 (871) pcs size 6/0 seed beads or 5/0 triangular beads.

The Mystery KAL is divided into 6 Clues published every Thursday starting on October 17th, 2024.

1st Clue: October 17th. 

2nd Clue: October 24th. 

3rd Clue: October 31st. 

4th Clue: November 7th. 

5th Clue: November 14th. 

6th Clue: November 21th.

There are 2 choices of kits: Size 1 (with or without beads) and Size 2 (with or without beads) 

1. For kit with beads, your will receive: 

- For size 1: 200 gram/770 yards gradient yarn 

- For size 2: 300 gram/1150 yards gradient yarn. 

- Size 5 Miyuki triangle beads enough to complete the project. 

- 0.5 mm crochet steel hook. 

- Stitch Markers (5 pcs) 

- Linen/cotton drawstring project bag 10” x 12” (25 cm x 30 cm).

2. For kit without the beads, you will receive: 

- For size 1: 200 gram/770 yards gradient yarn 

- For size 2: 300 gram/1150 yards gradient yarn. 

- Stitch Markers (5 pcs) 

- Linen/cotton drawstring project bag 10” x 12” (25 cm x 30 cm).

At the end of the MKAL, the participants will receive a copy of the complete pattern at no additional cost. Pattern is protected by copyright, so participants in the MKAL are required to not distribute copies of the clues or copies of the whole pattern. 

Info about the yarn in the kit: 

Weight: Heavy Fingering Fibers: 50% Merino/50 Silk. 

Yardage/Weight: approx. 385 yds / 100g Hand Wash/lay flat to dry using bleach-free detergent. May bleed slightly upon first wash.
