Took me 1 month to finish this project because I also did other project in between. Also I don’t really like single crochet. It bored me to death. I enjoyed attaching the button, the lining and the zipper, though.
Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that I made this bag because I admired Futuregirl’s bags so much. Before I did this bag, I think her price is in the expensive side, but after made it myself, I think her price is cheap :)
Your bag looks great!
ReplyDeleteSingle crochet *can* be boring, but I usually make my bags in stolen moments waiting for movies to start or waiting for water to boil, so I don't have enough time to loose interest. :)
I think that once I publish my patterns and people try them for themselves, they will realize, like you did, that there is a *ton* of work that goes into them. I've raised my prices a little since I started, but not as much as I'd like to for how long they take me. The only problem is that the only people who really appreciate the time and talent they take to make are people who could make their own. :)
I like the flowers design on your bag. It is beautiful and nice.
ReplyDeleteYou're so patient with details, Lily, your bag is lovely! The tutorial of futuregirl is a very good one.
ReplyDeleteI saw some similar bag patterns on a japanese site that I'm inspired to do upon seeing your bag.
I do think your bag is very pretty. I'm also a big fan of the Futuregirl's bags
ReplyDeleteA very nice bag, with a linning (thats the difficult part of all)
ReplyDeleteI love Futuregirl's tutorials too, never fail to inspire me to have more bags.......
